VU – Everton International Academy is proud to welcome Coach Chris Wooton to the club for the 2026–2027 season.

Goalkeeper Trainer | Assistant Coach | Experienced Player Developer
Coach Chris began his coaching journey in 2003 in New Jersey. After joining the U.S. Air Force in 2006, he continued building his coaching experience while serving for nearly 20 years.
Throughout that time, Coach Chris has worked with youth players ages 7–11, helping develop technical ability, confidence, and a strong understanding of the game. His coaching experience has taken him across the world, including Las Vegas, Misawa, Japan, and Fort Walton Beach, Florida.

For the upcoming season, Coach Chris will serve as Assistant Coach for the 2011 Girls Academy and will also lead our Goalkeeper Development Program as Goalkeeper Trainer.

With years of experience, leadership, and a passion for player development, Coach Chris brings outstanding energy and knowledge to our academy. We are excited for our players—especially our goalkeepers—to learn, compete, and grow under his guidance. @goodoledubyabjj

📢 Big changes are coming to youth soccer in the U.S.! 🇺🇸⚽️

U.S. Soccer has announced a nationwide shift — moving away from birth-year team formation to a school-year-based structure. Clubs across the country will begin transitioning to this new format.

What does this mean for our club?

We’ve already started the process through our 𝐕𝐔–𝐄𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐭𝐨𝐧 𝐈𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐚𝐥 𝐀𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 ID Clinics over the past two weeks, and we’ll continue through upcoming tryouts as we evaluate and shape our rosters for the 2026/27 season. This allows us to better understand what each team will look like under the new structure.
